Pêche post-Brexit : Macron assure que la France ne lâchera pas les pêcheurs
Alors que les pêcheurs français s’inquiètent, le président Emmanuel Macron et le secrétaire d’État aux Affaires européennes, Clément Beaune, ont assuré vendredi ne pas reculer sur le dossier et réclamer le “même nombre” de licences aux Britanniques.
“Nous allons continuer à nous battre, nous ne lâcherons pas nos pêcheurs”, a assuré vendredi 19 novembre Emmanuel Macron lors d’un déplacement dans le Nord de la France, alors que l’opposition accuse le gouvernement de les avoir laissé tomber dans le contentieux sur les licences de pêche.
“Détermination, fermeté et accompagnement de nos pêcheurs, c’est ça la politique que nous faisons depuis le début et nous ne céderons rien”, a déclaré le chef de l’État face à la presse à Aulnoye-Aymeries (Nord).
Il a de nouveau appelé avec force la Commission européenne à “jouer son rôle” et à régler le contentieux avec les Britanniques.
“La Commission doit nous protéger. Elle doit aller au bout, ça va trop lentement et trop mollement”, a-t-il regretté, en prévenant que si “la Commission ne joue pas son rôle, la France le fera”.
