General Paul Kagame’s fantasy of purchasing a Russian nuclear power plant is within reach, thanks to the collapse of the Russian currency following Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
In 2018, Russia and Rwanda signed an agreement that establishes legal basis for the construction of a centre for nuclear science and technology and of a nuclear power plant in Rwanda.
Suddenly, Kagame’s fantasy isn’t too far fetched after all – thanks to the collapse of the Russian Rubble following Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
The Rwandan currency has strengthened against the Russian currency – on March 19, 2022, 1 Russian Ruble traded for 9 Rwandan Francs, as opposed to the US dollar that fetches 1,016 Rwandan Francs.
Over to you, General Paul, this is your opportunity to purchase a Russian nuclear power plant.😂
