M23 terrorists continue clashes against the FARDC. In an assault, these rebels demonstrated yet another proof of the military support of its natural ally, Rwanda, which has deployed 500 Special Forces soldiers in the vicinity of Tchanzu, all dressed in a new green-black outfit and wearing the helmets of its Special Force.
Thanks to their “natural mentor”, these terrorists, said a statement from the Congolese army(the FARDC), intentionally attacked MONUSCO in Muhati, not far from Bikenge, in the Jomba Group in Rutshuru territory. The provisional toll of these attacks shows three Tanzanian peacekeepers injured, one of them seriously.
The UN force said the three were evacuated to Goma city for treatment after being injured in an attack on one of their positions in Rutshuru in North Kivu province. One of the soldiers was seriously injured, the Congolese army said.
Tanzania has more than 800 soldiers among the UN forces in DR Congo. And yet, the same source points out, the MONUSCO Force is in full exercise of its mission in accordance with the mandate of the United Nations Security Council.
The M23 has accused the army and the UN forces of “choosing war instead of peace talks” by jointly attacking its positions in Rutshuru.
But in a new allegation, DR Congo’s army spokesperson in North Kivu, Gen Sylvain Ekenge, accused Rwanda of deploying 500 special forces to support the rebels. Rwanda has firmly denied the allegation, calling the current crisis a DR Congo’s “internal problem”
In addition, Kigali was unmasked. The FARDC announces that since the arrest of Rwandan Special Force soldiers in Rutshuru territory, North Kivu, Rwanda has changed the outfit of its soldiers to conceal their presence in Congolese territory alongside M23 terrorists.
Look, a new evidence recorded by the Congolese security forces that certifies the support of the natural ally of these outlaws, after shelling launched on May 24 and 25, 2022, in the locality of Katale in rumangabo territory in North Kivu as well as the military clues of the Rwandan Defense Forces found in positions conquered by the FARDC fire force formerly occupied by M23 terrorists.
This new attack on peacekeepers comes after so many others, especially the attack on the MONUSCO helicopter that was shot down and cost the lives of eight Peacekeepers.
By attacking the United Nations Force, the M23, supported by Rwanda, confirms its terrorist character, stresses the FARDC which calls on the Congolese population to be vigilant and to denounce the presence of anyone carrying a weapon dressed in green-black clothing.
