Inspiré du mouvement canadien, le “convoi de la liberté” est sur les routes de La Réunion, ce samedi 12 février. Parti de Sainte-Marie, le cortège d’une centaine de voitures, va rejoindre Saint-Joseph en passant par l’Ouest. Le convoi doit durer deux jours.
Une centaine de voitures et environ 150 personnes composaient ce matin le “convoi de la liberté”. Inspiré du mouvement canadien, ce convoi dénonce les restrictions sanitaires en place pour freiner l’épidémie de Covid-19. En deux jours, il doit passer par une dizaine de communes.
“La liberté est fondamentale, tout être humain en a besoin, assure un manifestant. Si on ne fait rien, ça va disparaitre”.
“Karavane Liberté 974”
A La Réunion, le mouvement est baptisé “Karavane Liberté 974”. Un groupe a été créé sur le réseau social Telegram. Les revendications sont les suivantes : “plus de masque, plus d’injection, plus de pass, plus d’interdictions injustifiées”.

L’itinéraire du convoi sur deux jours
“C’est le mouvement canadien qui nous a inspiré, on s’est greffé dessus. On veut le retrait du pass et le retour à la vie normale”, assure une des organisatrice.
Parti de Sainte-Marie, ce samedi 12 février, le cortège a traversé Saint-Denis avant de prendre la Route du Littoral, direction l’Ouest de l’île. Saint-Joseph sera la destination finale pour ce soir. Les organisateurs espèrent voir le cortège grossir au fil des heures.

Terminus devant la préfecture et le ministre des Outre-mer
Demain, dimanche, le convoi doit repartir de Saint-Joseph pour Saint-Pierre, puis les Plaines. L’objectif des manifestants est de finir l’action, demain, dimanche soir, devant la préfecture de Saint-Denis où est attendu le ministre des Outre-mer. Sébastien Lecornu arrive dans l’île demain matin pour une visite de trois jours.
“Rouler sur Paris”
A Ottawa, la capitale canadienne, les manifestants anti-mesures sanitaires bloquent les rues depuis bientôt deux semaines avec leurs convois. Cette action s’est exportée en Nouvelle-Zélande, en Europe et en France. A Paris aussi, un “convoi de la liberté” circule ce samedi. Les participants ont appelé à “rouler sur Paris” ce week-end.
