Encore un drame de l’immigration clandestine vers Mayotte, non-pas au départ d’Anjouan mais de Nosy Bé à Madagascar. Les gardes côtes malgaches ont secouru les passagers d’une barque à la dérive depuis 10 jours. 4 sont morts dont trois enfants.
Ils étaient 20 à avoir embarqué sur cette petite barque équipée d’un seul moteur de 60CV. Une folie pour faire 300 kilomètres d’océan.
Le moteur est tombé en panne, la barque a dérivé depuis le 23 octobre. Presque sans nourriture et sans eau, les passagers cuits par le soleil ont survécu en buvant de l’eau de mer. Un adulte et trois enfants sont morts. Leurs corps ont été jetés à la mer. Les survivants ont été ramenés vers l’hôpital de Hell-Ville à Nosy-Bé. Ils sont gravement déshydratés.
Chose étonnante, il y avait 3 passagers porteurs de passeports français sur cette barque. Il faut rappeler que des mahorais (les français habitant l’ile Mayotte) sont restés coincés à Nosy-Bé depuis des mois avec l’interruption des liaisons aériennes.
