C’est une jeune dame qui a dans sa tête mille et un projets de société et qui en a réalisé déjà quelques-uns. Son parcours est impressionnant et son souci est de mettre sa main à la pâte comme on dit, afin de laisser une empreinte visible et palpable dans la société dans laquelle elle évolue.
Elle a une pensée particulière pour la Jeunesse.Elle a démontré beaucoup d’empathie au sein du département Mpore Mémoire et Justice de l’asbl Jambo au sein duquel elle a travaillé pendant quelques années au rapprochement, sans discrimination, de toutes les victimes, des atrocités qui sévissent dans la région des grands Lacs africains, en leur prêtant une écoute attentive et empathique. Elle est très active sur les projets de la plateforme SOS Réfugiés.
Au sein de cette plateforme composée de 6 associations, elle agit pour aider les réfugiés rwandais dans le monde entier mais surtout ceux qui sont encore en Afrique. Elle-même ayant été réfugiée, ce projet lui tient particulièrement à cœur, pour ne jamais oublier, dit-elle, nos frères et sœurs qui vivent encore ce calvaire.
Elle ne s’est pas arrêtée sur ce projet uniquement. Avec 3 autres jeunes parents, elle est co-fondatrice d’une école de devoirs à Alost en Belgique pour offrir un soutien scolaire aux enfants de l’école primaire issus de familles défavorisées ou dont les parents ne parlent pas le néerlandais.
Aujourd’hui, cette association emploie deux personnes et compte plus de 30 bénévoles et soutient 109 enfants. Elle collabore aux services offerts par les bénévoles et elle est présidente du Conseil d’administration. Elle s’est engagée à faire en sorte que ces bénévoles restent motivés et qu’ensemble ils arrivent à mieux optimiser leur temps et leurs ressources. “Voilà que son chemin se poursuit toujours par un projet hors du commun. En juillet 2021, elle publie son premier livre jeunesse, Héroïnes et héros d’Afrique.
Cet album illustré regroupe de petites biographies de certaines grandes figures du continent africain.
Ce livre est une invitation à la découverte et un défi lancé aux jeunes lecteurs afin que demain ils soient aussi les forces du changement du monde à leur tour !Je suis profondément convaincue, dit-elle que diversifier la bibliothèque de nos enfants est le premier pas vers une société plus inclusive avec moins de discriminations.
C’est une jeune femme dynamique qui a une soif profonde pour la Justice et la réconciliation. C’est pour toutes ces raisons que le Réseau international des femmes pour la démocratie et la paix, lui octroi avec admiration de sa participation civique à la recherche du vivre ensemble et de la cohésion au sein de la société en général le « Prix Jeunesse engagée » de l’année 2021.
