La Société Civile forces vives de la ville de Goma appelle le Gouvernement de la République Démocratique du Congo à fermer ses frontières avec le Rwanda, pour « sécuriser » le chef-lieu du Nord-Kivu.
Selon son président Marrion Ngavho Kambale, cette mesure serait « nécessaire » en ce moment des affrontements entre les rebelles du M23 et les FARDC dans les territoires de Nyiragongo et Rutshuru.
Celui-ci ajoute que le pouvoir de Kinshasa devrait également renforcer les militaires sur le lac Kivu et le long de la limite avec le Rwanda en territoire de Nyiragongo.
“Encore une fois la RDC est attaquée par ses voisins dont le Rwanda soutient des groupes armés, notamment le M23. Les rebelles ont subi la force de la résistance des FARDC depuis Bunagana, Jomba et Chanzu et actuellement les combats se poursuivent vers Kibumba. La Société Civile ville de Goma demande urgemment au Gouvernement congolais de sécuriser la ville de Goma en fermant les frontières avec le Rwanda, donc la grande et la petite barrière jusqu’à la fin des hostilités; en renforçant la sécurité sur le lac Kivu; en renforçant les militaires sur Gabiro et sur le long des limites avec le territoire de Nyiragongo et Rutshuru ; de ne plus participer au dialogue inutile et sans vérité avec les groupes mais d’organiser les traques jusqu’à leur dernier retranchement”, a indiqué Marrion Ngavho.
En outre, cet acteur de la Société Civile appelle la population à appuyer les Forces Armées de la RDC en dénonçant toute personne pouvant menacer la ville de Goma.
En territoires de Rutshuru et Nyiragongo, les combats lancés depuis des quelques jours se sont poursuivis le matin de mercredi 25 mai courant entre l’armée congolaise et les combattants du M23.
